#AdultWithGlove Scene in Ninth Inning of Brewers/Reds

Sometimes it proves entertaining to watch the entirety of a random Thursday afternoon 7-2 ballgame. Especially when the best action occurs in the stands as long as flying fists are not involved. Such was the case at the beginning and end of the Brewers v. Reds tilt in Cincinnati. We begin at the end, as gray-haired Trevor Richards was on the mound mopping up the game for Milwaukee. A foul ball was easily headed into the first baseman's glove of Santa Claus dressed with a Brewers cap.....until a chili-eating, butt-wipe Reds fan from five rows away deflected the ball like a defensive back and laid claim to the souvenir. The Brewers fan verbally laid into his Reds counterpart from 25 feet away until a random youth handed Santa Brewers a ball he had possession of. The game began on a much happier note for Reds fans and particularly one happy lad who made a spectacular catch of Joey Votto's 400-foot home run.

The young man was an instant media star for four innings on television broadcasts while his mom chugged down a Miller Lite. If the kid has any hitting ability to go along with his fielding prowess he could find himself hitting in the middle of the Brewers lineup tomorrow. Unfortunately his thunder was stolen later by a weather delay, a Brewers hitting onslaught - and two adult fans in the bottom of the ninth.
