Bo Pelini's second stint as defensive coordination at LSU ended up less successful than his first, as the university and Pelini part ways.
The 5-5 season began onimously as the Tigers conceded a single-game SEC yardage record to a Mississippi State team that was no great shakes themselves. The opening loss immediately put Pelini on the hot seat and was under fire by the fan base and social media quarters most of the year as LSU finished 13th in passing defense, only ahead of Vanderbilt. After just one season Pelini receives a $5.2 million buyout. The next question is where the one-time Green Bay Packers assistant and former Nebraska and Youngstown State coach lands next.
