Brian Robinson Jr. Shot Multiple Times - Condition 'Stable'

Shocking development late Sunday afternoon after reports that rookie Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. was shot multiple times in the lower body during a carjacking attempt around 6 p.m. Eastern Time. The wounds are initially said to be non life-threatening. A police search is underway for two juvenile suspects.

The news came just hours after speculation that Robinson had supplanted Antonio Gibson as the Commanders starting running back for Week 1. The former University of Alabama standout was a third round selection in the 2022 NFL Draft. In his senior season with the Crimson Tide Robinson rushed for 1,343 yards and 16 touchdowns.
