Dwayne Haskins will not get a 19th chance. After a week that saw him lose his captaincy and fined $40,000 for being spotted without a mask at an establishment and called out by former QB Ryan Leaf, Haskins stunk it up on the field as well in a critical game and has been released by the Washington Football Team. Haskins was overwhelmed and unprepared against the Carolina Panthers, throwing two interceptions and finishing with a 36.9 quarterback ranking. The team announced earlier Monday that Haskins had been passed on the depth chart by Taylor Heinicke, who played markedly better than Haskins in a relief role. The 15th overall pick of the 2019 NFL Draft, Haskins did not waste time proving himself as a JaMarcus Russell level disaster. No word on whether Head Coach Ron Rivera gave Haskins a blank DVD to 'study' during training camp. Washington faces a must-win game at Philadelphia on Sunday with the NFC East title on the line.
