Major League Baseball came oh so close to completing the 2020 bubble payoff format unscathed. During the seventh inning of the Dodgers World Series clinching win, MLB learned of a positive Covid test on Justin Turner - the third baseman was immediately ordered removed from the game. Turner's Monday Covid test came back inconclusive, but Game 6 allowed to proceed. Turner initially did not take part in the postgame celebration, and concerns remain that the virus could have been passed on to teammates. Citing precedents from previous Covid cases in baseball during the regular season, logic dictates had a Game 7 been necessary it would not had been held as scheduled on Wednesday.
Texas reported 6,889 new Covid cases on Tuesday, the state's highest total since Aug. 25.
Turner 'defies orders', kisses wife, mingles with teammates and other family members.
