Governor Tim Walz activates 100 Minnesota National Guard troops after third-degree murder charge on former officer Derek Chauvin dropped. A Hennepin County judge drops the charge because the language of the law dictates that more than one individual be in danger. More serious second murder and manslaughter charges will proceed. The judge also sustained charges against the three other officers included in the George Floyd case, J. Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao.
