These picks are made on Thursday afternoon, when 'I go to the window' to publish the
piece. Obviously much can change between that time and Sunday. Tampa Bay @ Chicago - It is said two-thirds of the bets back the Bucs, but the 'sharp' gamblers like the Bears.
Carolina @ Atlanta - Amongst other things, the ATL secondary is completely decimated. Dan Quinn may finally get his pink slip Monday.
Buffalo @ Tennessee - This game has been off the board all week and there is a good chance it will not be played in Week 5. Las Vegas @ Kansas City - What Jimmy the Greek would call a 'prohibitive favorite' back in the day. KC's chief concern is that the Raiders organization looks like a walking biological weapon. Stay away from the postgame handshakes! Arizona @ NY Jets - Cards have lost last two but will right the ship this week.
Philadelphia @ Pittsburgh - Eagles will be just pesky enough to make this game interesting.
LA Rams @ Washington - Dwayne Haskins benched for going the JaMarcus Russell of game preparation, Kyle Allen will start for the Burgolders. I do not see that being much of a difference.
Cincinnati @ Baltimore - Large number, I lean towards Ravens covering.
Jacksonville @ Houston - With Bill O'Brien gone, look for Texans to break out en route to their first win. Miami @ San Francisco - The Packers sure get their butts kicked in Santa Clara, but other teams such as Atlanta, Arizona and Philadelphia have all managed to win. Dolphins cover in a low-scoring affair. Indianapolis @ Cleveland - A shame that this late game will not get more national coverage. NY Giants @ Dallas - Cowboys take out a month's worth of frustration out on the Giants.
Denver @ New England - Game reportedly moved to 7 PM EDT Monday. Game off the board at most books, at +11 Denver would be an easy pick. Draft Kings only has the Pats at -5. My guess is that this settles around NE -7.5
Minnesota @ Seattle - After Dak Prescott throws for 450 yards and five touchdowns in Dallas's win, Russell Wilson keeps pace with six TD passes in a 45-35 win.
LA Chargers @ New Orleans - Tyrod Taylor, a victim of a punctured lung/inside job from his own medical staff, has been permanently Wally Pipp'd in favor of Justin Herbert. The Chargers barely survived getting seven and a hook in Tampa, and will take them at +7.5 again this week.
